Well I just arrived back yesterday from the Duke of Edinburgh Silver Expedition, which was Hell to say the least!
Thursday - Got up at 6 then fallen asleep again(as you do). I then woke up again at 6:45...OPPS! We were meant to be at the school at 7:15. My mum ordered a taxi while I rushed to get my rucksack packed and got changed. I arrived at the school at aprox 7:20, Mark was there already, and Chris. We didn't leave till 7:50 because a member of our group(Ryan) was late. We started walking up the Mournes at 10:15(an hour late). The whole day was ok I suppose. We finally found camp and got dinner and stuff. 4 members of the ''Young offenders association'' came up to us, they were very talkitive but annoyin(well i never rly payed attention lol), it was Mark who wanted them away. I actually went asleep at 11. 7 members gave up and went home...
Friday - I HATE MIDGEES!! There everywhere! lol Mr.Bingham asked me if i was ok from the other night cause apperantly I looked sick(which i did). We had breckie, which was Marks special sausages!! YUM!! We then set of at 9....beginning the worst day of my life. We didn't find the campsite till 9 which was a bummer, least we got there. The assesor helped us find our way tho, and Mr.Bingham. I went bahind a hedge and got changed straight away(rofl!) then helped the other guys with the Tent, then dinner, then sleep lol(i was knackered)
Saturday - Began ok, had breckfast(ham) and set off at 9 with the girls. We had the same route as the girls, which was a good thing. We could walk at eachothers pace. As I said it ''began ok'', but I was the slowest in our group, and I wasn't getting any better. I became D-hydrated and my feet and shoulders began to be sore. When we ot to lunch, I was thankful of Miss.Pitman, Miss.McGill and Mr.Bingham giving me something to eat and drink, it did not help me feet tho, but none the less....The last leg was tough for me, it was a simple track, but long. The rest of the group zoomed on like super troupers and I always found myself being left behind *sigh* We had a last talk with the assesor and said are goodbyes with him....5 minutes later me, Mark and Mark Adamson are running down the hill to the minibus *laughs* (nonte - i still have bad feet). The journey home was easy, and Mr.Bingham dropped me off on the way home...THANK GOD! My feet have blisters and all sorts over them :(
Today - I've just been taking it easy today. I've taken the oppertunity to search other blogdrive blogs(from Japan) and learn more about the Tokyo Dome and language. I found my mobile *yay*:D
